Rana Udyog (erstwhile Rana Enterprises) was founded in 1970 as one of the sister concerns of well known  Modern Group of Companies.

Expansion and diversification of the Company has kept pace with its product and the range now includes Helical Reduction Gear Boxes having a wide range of ratios in single, double and triple stage design, Pinion Stand of 2-Hi and 3-Hi types, Combined Reduction Gearbox Cum Pinion Stand, Combined Speed Increaser Cum Pinion Stand, various types of Couplings etc.

RU Gearboxes are manufactured in this modern factory under strict control of quality. The manufacturing facilities include gear boxes of weights varying from 60 kg. to about 20000 kg., Gear Couplings, Pinion Stands, Rolling Mill equipment which not only meet the demand of the domestic market but also exported to the Middle East, the African Countries as well as neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh.

Taking advantage of all the latest design and manufacturing techniques in Gear Technology, it has become possible to serve not only the Steel Industries but also the Cement, Sugar, Paper and other light and heavy industries including Chemical Industries.
